Let’s admit it, some people are born ill-tempered. It could be the genes or how these people were raised by their parents that affects their ability to manage anger. When you begin to work as a means of earning a living, keeping your anger in check is a must to avoid losing your friends, getting into trouble and being given disciplinary action by the human resource department. Or worse, losing your job.

Anger is a negative feeling that is neither healthy nor productive. In the work place, it impairs one’s objectivity, poise and self control. Never let a fit of anger stain your reputation and image in the workplace. It’s okay to disagree with others and let go of your emotions occasionally. But then, take time to clear your mind, absorb your surroundings and calm yourself before doing or saying something.

Anger management is a continuing process. You have to learn to be patient and focus.
