If your are decided on where you want to work, and have a list of specific companies in mind, it may be best if you skip mediators and third party websites. You can go to the company directly. Simply browse their website for an email where you can send your resume. If they don’t have one listed, contact their human resources department. Don’t just send to their general email because companies usually have a separate email address for receiving job applications. After this you can follow up from time to time – there’s no harm in it, as long as you’re not too persistent. Employers will appreciate that you went directly to them, because it shows that you really want to work for them. Brownie point for effort, which also makes for a good impression.
