The efforts dont end after you have submitted the resume to prospective employers. Now goes the waiting as to when you will be called for a possible interview. The right thing to do is to make a follow up on the status of your job application through phone calls or emails. Ask the HR officer politely to get clear answers.

Another follow up on a job application is done after you have been interviewed. Make a follow up through phone calls or emails about a week after the first interview to check on the progress of your job application.

Always remember that making a follow up is important as it shows your enthusiasm and sincerity for the job.
